Govt. to build 9 new hospitals, valued at KD 250 million

Kuwait – The Ministry of Health will initiate, as of today, procedures to construct 9 hospitals in six health zones with the aim of increasing bed capacity to 2250. The project, which includes the construction of 100 operation theaters and 200 intensive care units, is estimated at 250 million Kuwaiti dinars.

He initially wanted to have the surgery performed outside Kuwait and at his own expense but Dr. Yousef Al-Awadhi convinced him to undergo the surgery at the hospital which he manages under his supervision.

MoH Kuwait contracts Canadian doctors to run medical centers

Kuwait’s MoH wants to regulate in-vitro infertilsation (IVF)

Kuwait’s health ministry has warned all private health centers and clinics to limit the number of embryos that may be implanted by fertility clinics.According to the ministry, only two embryos can be transferred to women below 35 in an in vitro fertilization (IVF).Three embryos can be transferred to women who are more 35 years old, likely to account for pregnancy difficulty, Kuwaiti daily Awan reported the ministry as saying.

Tests on drinking water in Kuwait came ‘clean’: EPA

Kuwait – Tests of factories producing drinking water came out clean with no real hazards, said Kuwait Environment Public Authority’s (EPA) Director General Salah Al-Madhi yesterday.
