Commerce Minister plans action against price hikes

Gold sales down in Kuwait

Jazeera grabs leading market share to high-demand destinations

Jazeera Airways, the Kuwait-based airline, on Saturday said it has maintained market dominating positions on many of its routes despite heavy competition between the three Kuwaiti airlines and other airlines in the Middle East as well. The airline, established in 2005, has captured the largest market share among Kuwait-based airlines on the two most competitive routes in the airline’s network — Kuwait-Dubai and Kuwait-Bahrain.

KOC to invest KD 5-7 bln in development projects in 5 years

koc Kuwait – Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) plans to invest KD five to seven billion in a range of hydrocarbon projects in the coming five years, KOC’s Chairman and Managing Director Sami Al-Rushaid said. The projects range from the development of oil and gas facilities such as pipelines, well drilling and pumping stations, to the acquisition of tug-boats and the construction of a hospital, he revealed.

KFH & Mabanee sign KD 100 mn contract for Avenues Phase III

Kuwait – Mabanee Company, a Kuwaiti shareholding real estate company, and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) have inked a contract for The Avenues Phase III at a cost of KD 100 million (USD 345 million). Under the contract, the KFH will provide Mabanee with KD 100 million, which is the necessary financing for Phase III of the largest mall in Kuwait, KFH Chairman Bader Al-Mukhaizeem told reporters here Wednesday.

Agility rivals fight over new US contract
