Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan may be one of the hottest men in Bollywood but the actor used to feel so insecure about his wife Guari Khan during their courtship days that he told her not to wear mini skirts or T-shirts.”I wouldn’t like it if Gauri left her hair loose… she’s so beautiful that I used to stop her from wearing mini skirts or T-shirts,” Khan told director Farah Khan on her celebrity chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein on entertainment channel Star Plus.
The actress was so furious that she had to be whisked away by John Abraham, who had accompanied her for Durga Puja. When Bipasha Basu, a true-blue Bengali decided to take part in the on-going Durga Puja festivities with boyfriend John Abraham, the last thing she expected was to be sexually groped by a sick minded stranger. The actress had a horrifying time when she was at The North Bombay Sarvojonin Durga Puja at Santacruz on Saturday evening. Not one to take things lying down, Bipasha was furious when John took her away from the scene. Incidentally, this Durga Puja pandal is now being managed by Rani Mukerji’s family.
Actress Asin Thottumkal, who’s lately been working round-the-clock, has been admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital here following an acute sinus condition.The Ghajini fame actress was admitted Monday morning. She was taken to Kokilaben hospital because it’s close to her home in Andheri.

New Delhi: Canadian born Bollywood actress Lisa Ray has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare cancer of the plasma cells, and says the disease is ‘incurable’. “I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma on June 23. Started my first cycle of treatment July 2. Not long ago. For me, it was a relief to hear what was wrong,” Lisa, 37, posted on her blog.
After making her presence felt at the Cannes and Madame Tussauds, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Now this is not her first time on the talk show. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, husband Abhishek Bachchan will also accompany her this time around.

Mumbai: When Salman Khan, clad in a white shirt and blue jeans, bodyguard in tow, strolled into a five-star hotel in Bandra, the waiting journalists thought it was a private visit. A few minutes later, his sister walked in, followed by her husband. An hour after the star and his family members left the hotel, it was revealed that Salman was on a business mission. The actor is interested in buying a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). 
If such kids are in a good, safe home, they’re better off than on the streets, says choreographer and director Farah Khan. Child labour is a crime and this woman who has employed and abused a helpless 10-year-old child should be put in jail and treated in exactly the same manner in which she treated the child, there. But let me also point out that there are two sides to this issue. The government has taken the easy way out and just simply banned child labour. 
Vidya Balan proved to be more adventurous than her sedate image and serene personality suggest. Recently, while shooting for Balki’s Amitabh-Abhishek starrer Paa in Cambridge, Vidya simply disappeared. The crew returned to Mumbai without her. Laughs Vidya, “It’s nothing so dramatic. Yes, I did stay back in Cambridge. I simply had to. I had no choice.” 
Mumbai: Looks like here is yet another angle to the much talked about Shah Rukh Khan detention at the Newark Airport. Now, this time it isn’t the Amar Singh angle or Salman angle. Shah Rukh’s detention might have been caused because his show promoters are under scrutiny by US officials. The US Custom and Border Protection (CBP) might have taken up this case as a result of their suspicion on Farhath Hussai, the promoter of the show.

Mumbai, Aug 16, PTI: Actress Aishwarya Rai is down with a “chest infection” and “flu like symptoms”, leaving her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan worried. The 35-year-old actress who was shooting with husband Abhishek Bachchan in Ooty for the upcoming Mani Ratnam film ‘Ravana’ is down with the illness, Bachchan who is in Singapore tending to politician Amar Singh wrote in his blog.
Press Trust of India: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was detained at the US airport of Newark in New Jersey, and was questioned for over two hours, reportedly because of his surname. He was allowed to go only after Indian Embassy officials vouched for him. Shah Rukh was reportedly on his way to Chicago to attend an Independence Day parade.Speaking to NDTV over the incident, Shah Rukh said his name popped up on their computer, and then he was taken for questioning.
Bollywood "item girl" Rakhi Sawant wound up her Rakhi Ka Swayamwar reality TV show in India by choosing Elesh Parujanwala of Canada to be her "life partner." Sunday night. Sawant did not immediately marry Parujanwala as was the custom when a swayamvar concluded in ancient India. "Today is our engagement," Rakhi told the large TV audience watching. "I am ready to get married now, but we need to understand each other better off camera. We will soon get married in front of all of you in keeping with all our traditions." Rakhi confirmed what everyone watching already suspected, Elesh was her favorite from the beginning of the show, which ran for 26 episodes. 
New Delhi: A police complaint has been filed against actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mahesh Bhatt by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker. The complaint has accuses the duo of trying to divide people on religious lines. "Why are Emraan Hashmi and Mahesh Bhatt creating a communal divide all of a sudden between two communities? Mahesh Bhatt was portraying himself as secular all these while but now he is giving statements in communal tone. This should be investigated," said BJP worker Sanjay Bodiya who filed the complaint in Mumbai.
NEW DELHI: Brushing aside the Emraan Hashmi controversy as a "one-off" episode, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday said that such incidents should not be given importance. The actor, who is a practicing Muslim but prefers to call himself a "secular Indian", said, "I have never been treated differently because of my religion. I am 44 years old now and never in my life have I felt discriminated." He was reacting to a question related to the recent uproar caused by actor Emraan Hashmi’s allegations that a housing society in posh Pali Hill area denied him the NOC to purchase a flat in the building because he is a Muslim.
