Ban on visit visas to reduce begging in Ramadan
KUWAIT: Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor will coordinate with the Ministry of Interior to suspend commercial visit visas before the holy month of Ramadan, to reduce the phenomenon of begging the country witnesses each year.
Informed sources disclosed that visit visas will not be issued with the exception of those holding higher academic qualifications.
Meanwhile, there’s no truth in news item published in the dailies recently which said 45 companies have been referred to the public prosecution for violating residency law and engaging in visa trading, sources added.
It is noteworthy 45 licenses of companies under violation were referred to Immigration Security for investigation, and the Ministry of Interior also formed a committee to discuss the situation of those companies, the daily said.
