Kuwait kite team flies national flag in India
KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti kite-flying team has displayed the world’s largest kite during the annual kite-flying festival in India dazzling onlookers who watched the gigantic Kuwaiti flag decorating the skies.
This 1,300-sq-m kite has broken the world record, said the head of the Kuwaiti team that flew the kite, Abdul Rahman Al-Farsi.
The team had met with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah who gave them very valuable guidelines, before they travelled to India, he added.
Kite-flying is a sports, popular in some nations, namely India, Japan and China. Kuwait, Lebanon and other Gulf states hold annual festivals.
