Kuwait to witness high humidity this week: Meteorologist
Kuwait: Kuwaiti meteorologist Essa Ramadan said on Sunday he expects a gradual increase of humidity during the next three days that would last till the weekend. Ramadan told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Sunday was the last day of “Talaa aljabha” (local name), and the start of equal days and nights in terms of time, where the weather is cool at night and hot by day, continuing until October 3.
He added that following this period, the “Sfiri” days will continue, a season of allergies, flu, and stomach bugs, due to the unstable temperatures.
“Autumnal Equinox” is when days and nights are equal, usually witnessed in the upper half of the globe on September 23, as the sun rays line with the equator, therefore days and nights equally become 12 hours long.
Ramadan said that in Kuwait, the Autumnal Equinox will be five days late this year, illustrating the change of seasons.
He also expected that the next couple of days will witness high humidity, especially on coastal areas during the night.
Southerly winds will also decrease starting from Wednesday, with pleasant weather expected on Saturday.
