Wataniya Airways’ new fifth aircraft set to fly to Istanbul

Kuwait – Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium airline announced today the arrival of its fifth A320 Airbus aircraft, tailored to the highest degree of excellence and luxury and allowing it to further expand its schedule and launch new routes.

Starting May 2nd, the premium carrier announced that it will start a regular service to Istanbul, the commercial capital of Turkey and the European capital of culture 2010.

The new schedule will provide three flights a week on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday from the exclusive Wataniya Airways Sheikh Saad Terminal to Sabiha Gokcen International, Istanbul’s state of the art new airport. Istanbul is Wataniya Airways’ ninth destination and the first European city that it flies to since the launch of its operations in January 2009.

The city of Istanbul is one of the most attractive cities for tourists in the world, through its cultural heritage and monuments, including St. Sophia Blue Church, Topkapi Palace, Suleymeniye Church, Dolmabahce Palace, BursaBlue Mosque, Princes Island and the Grand Bazaar. Moreover, it represents a springboard for other tourist attractions in other Turkish cities, especially with the distinguished arrival timing of Wataniya Airways at 3:00 PM.

Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture, is also the home to art, music, opera, and traditional performances that enthusiasts can also take pleasure from throughout the year.

Wataniya Airways sixth aircraft is scheduled to be received in June, to provide better quality services and a wider choice of destinations, in addition to the current flights and upcoming launches in the future.

    Can’t wait for them to start flying to Mumbai and Bengaluru. Not having to fly Kuwait Airways or Air India will be a good riddance for most expats here.

    It’s a pity Kingfisher won’t be flying to Kuwait any time soon.
