Kuwait – The Parliamentary Housing Committee has approved a draft law for the construction of 10 residential cities, said committee secretary MP Naji Al-Abdulhadi on Thursday. Speaking to reporters following the committee meeting, he said that the approval was made in the presence of representatives of the Public Authority for Housing Care.

Moreover, he said that the committee approved a draft law on the “inherited” quota – the value of inherited real estate over which government loans are not granted – bringing it up from KD 200,000 to 300,000.

It also approved an amendment to the law of the Savings and Credit Bank, to allow citizens who took out the KD 70,000 housing loan to take out a second loan if the first house is sold.
