flydubai airlines launches Kuwait-Dubai service for KD 13
Kuwait – Dubai as a business and leisure destination will be more accessible and affordable from March 30, 2010 when flydubai, Dubai’’s first lowـcost airline, starts twice daily flights from Kuwait City.Kuwait will be flydubai’’s thirteenth destination overall and fourth in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
The new double daily service is expected to be highly popular with business people, visitors and tourists and will give travellers the opportunity to travel more often. This was stated in a press release on Monday.
Ghaith AlـGhaith, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of flydubai said, “A strong GCC network is at the heart of flydubai’’s strategy and as an old friend, Kuwait was a natural choice as our next destination. We are making a strong commitment to serving and expanding this route by providing an alternate air travel option and we thank the authorities in Kuwait for their help and support to make this announcement possible. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Kuwait and to doing our part in strengthening the relationship between Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).”
“For Kuwait residents, Dubai is already a frequently visited cosmopolitan centre for business and leisure. Its many cultural festivities, international and regional events and exhibitions also attract a growing number of Kuwaiti residents throughout the year,” he said.
The twice daily flights to Dubai will cost from just 13 Kuwaiti Dinars oneـway, which includes all taxes and one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 10 kilograms. Flights have been made available for purchase from the Web site (flydubai.com), call centre (+965 22414400) and travel agents from Monday.
