Police biker in Kuwait dies in accident due to black foam spray
Kuwait: Sources revealed to Al Watan that the motorbike accident which led to the death of police biker Ahmad Hussein Al-Azmi was "an unfortunate accident." They clarified that the accident was not due to the policeman’s lack of experience riding on the road but happened because the biker was besieged by black foam sprayed during the festive national holidays.
When faced with the black foam, he lost control and had the fatal accident.
Sources denied rumors that police bikers do not get the adequate training and that the duration for training is short as it lasts for only one month. "The late Al?Azmi came first in his batch and any suggestion that the duration of training is inadequate is not true. They have been continuously practicing and some of their training courses required that they ride all the way up north to Abdali.
Furthermore, during their graduation they carried out stunts, which demonstrated that they had mastered riding their bikes," sources explained.
Sources also said that officers are always given free choice to drive a car, ride a horse or ride motorbikes. It is always their choice and they are never forced to select any particular means of transport. "This particular batch had been working on the streets for the past four months and they have had enough experience to tackle difficult situations," sources remarked, adding that the foam on the streets left behind by people who celebrated the National Day was the reason behind the fatal accident not the experience or duration of training.
There are precautions that the Department of Traffic always recommends to its officers cruising the streets, which officers are required to follow.
