Accidents in Kuwait claim 77 lives in early 2010
Kuwait – Road accidents in Kuwait have claimed the lives of 77 people in January and February 2010, a senior security official said here Monday.Extremely concerned over the growing number of victims of car accidents in Kuwait, the Interior Ministry’s Security Information Chief and Spokesman Colonel Mohammed al-Saber said in news remarks: “This figure is so appalling that it sounds the alarm about the mounting surge in the number of victims of traffic accidents.”
Calling for more efforts to fend off more car accidents, he said:
We don’t need a miracle to cut the number of victims. Rather, we only want more commitment by citizens and residents towards traffic rules.
However, he vowed that his department would continue efforts to reduce the number of car accidents as much as possible, in collaboration with other departments of the Interior Ministry.
