Good Morning everyone.
In a very sombre mood today. Our neighbour passed away last night. A Palestinian gentleman. Was battling cancer for the last year and a half.
Say (to them, O Muhammed), "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."
~The Noble Qur'an (Chapter 62, Verse 8)

Good Morning BVG.
Death ...For a reality buff like me, can't get anything more real than that.
Thank you for your kind words.

And did you hav an appointment or was it an emergency? Naah... No emergency...Government clinic man... The other hosps atleast have seats for people to wait... Wat we did was....go to the private hospitals...Al Salam and Al Hadi, (for the eldest n youngest respectively)...for routine monthly check-ups n when it was time for delivery, headed to the Govt. Hospital. Its a lot more systematic, comfy n less time consuming, than the Govt Hosp.

Good Morning Jonyboy. Thank you for your kind words, Sir. Yes, you are right. We are all humans. But we are ultimately lone travellers. Each and everyone of us is alone. We get together for a brief moment. Enjoy the company of one another. Share food, laughter and joy. And then we continue our journeys. One of my very favourite movies is Cast Away starring Tom Hanks. I have watched it so many times that in fact whenever I feel like watching it again, a collective groan goes around my home because of the number of times that the bride and kids have had to bear it. I get especially moved by the last part of the movie when he is rescued from the island after spending 4 or 5 years and comes back to see that the entire world has moved on without him. It is so touching. We really are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

The elixir of life has such an enchantment to it that it is too tantalizingly hard for some people to let go of. If only...

Its so damn easy to make enemies. steele wrote: One of my very favourite movies is Cast Away starring Tom Hanks. Reminds me of similar 'groans'...when I put on the 'Oldies collection'.....(songs of the 80s n 90s)...in place of 'Chamak Challo' or 'Chikni Chameli'....!!!
