When i take pictures on my blacberry bold they are saved with the extension .jpg.rem and these pictures can be viewed on the blackberry. When i transfer these pictures to my laptop they cannot be viewed because of the extension .jpg.rem.
When i rename this file to .jpg it becomes unusable. Has anyone come across this problem.

Your pictures are encrypted, which explains the .rem extension. I think thats the reason you cannot view them even after changing the extension. It needs to decrypted, turn off encryption, reboot and then try transferring images.
