I need some help.
I am trying to take back up of old VCDs and trying to burn them to DVDs.
Now, I tried the free 'Any Video Converter', which I normally use to convert video files but unfortunately it is just converting some 10 mins or so of one complete cd.
So, I searched google and found that ideally VCDs should be converted to mpeg and then to xvid...
I tried VCDGear and it has converted to mpeg properly.
Now how to convert this mpeg to xvid to burn on DVDs, without losing the quality?
I am trying AutoGK...dunno if it will work.
Any other ideas???

Unlike MPEG4, most people out there mistake Xvid for just another video format, its not, its actually a video codec! The so called xvid videos are actually a variant of the MPEG4 format.
I think hand brake might be helpful for you but if you like anyvideoconverter then get a pirated copy for temporary use, its easier that way than trying out all kinds of other s/w. I personally use EVOM but its Mac only.
