I hold a valid UAE driving license. I will be travelling to Kuwait soon on a visit visa, will I be able to drive in Kuwait with this license or do I have to get the International license.

Hello Kevin and welcome to Q8NRI and Kuwait too.

I believe....for foreignors (on visit/tourist visa) and even if they are holding a valid GCC driving license, they will have to obtain, the International Driving License, to drive...not only in Kuwait but anywhere-else in the GCC, apart from their country of residence.

In UAE any foreigner on a visit visa and hold a driver's license from any of the GCC countries are permitted to drive vehicles without obtaining an International Driving License. Isn't the same applicable in Kuwait as well???
That's what i have heard from friends.
