before i proceed to my question i give y'all some background of my problem

my passport will expired on march 2009..i so i renewed my passport 2weeks before the expiration it will take one month to process our new passport so our embassy suggest me get some extension so i do it..
when i get my passport our embassy punch a 4 whole front and back of my passport and attach my new passport..
my visa is stamped on my old passport.i keep my passport for 9 months until my new company ask me to surrender to them to process my papaers for transfer , meaning to say im a local hire... my query are

my current company said that i need to pay the KARAMA,my visa supposedly transfer on my new passport,is that true? in my thought how come will i pay for a KARAMA my visa is still valid coz everyday im making it appoint to check the validity of my visa through online..and my old passport have an extension for one year will expired on march 2010..

if its true what are guidelines for paying the KARAMA? i really need your help guys my company provide the total cost of my karama for 9 months and they will deduct it on my monthly salary pls pls give some advice..

If you have got the new p/p then the validity of your old p/p no longer remain.... Its void and ur new p/p is ur authentic doc.... Do let me know as below then I will check with some1.

1)Is your old p/p still valid?
2)Have you got your NEW P/P AND WHEN??

Both the above can't be true.... If you have got ur new p/p then you should have transferred ur residency on the new one. Reply, then I will check if there is any penalty if u fail to get ur residency transferred on ur new p/p.

my old passport is expired on march 2009 and i got my new passport april 2009..and my visa still on my old passport
