Well in India it's a standard practice, those who don't pay fees are 'Outstanding'......and they are even debarred from taking the exams...just because it happens in Kuwait, it's nothing exceptional.....am sure the schools give enough warnings before this extreme step...if not then the school is at fault...

well.. funny thing is if it happens in India its cool.. most of the time.. the kid is sent home.. n not kept standing in the school.

in q8 .. I've heard of kids being made to stand sometimes in the sun or in the corridoor where there's no ac..
.. basically parents need to pay up the fees.. if unable due personal reasons..they should approach the school and obtain permission.. if not better keep the kid at home until the fees is paid up.. ... think of the kids situation when they are punished.. rather call the parents and either make them stand instead .. or school should call them to collect their kid from school & take em home.

Yeah punishing the kids is a difficult choice, but from what i have heard, there are a lot of habitual defaulters in schools(it's not because they are not financially well off, it's just that they have different priorities when it comes to money) and a lot of kids take the money from the parents and haven't paid the fees....

 wow.. havent heard that one before

Kids (irrespective of their Class) in IIS-Jleeb made to stand outside... for non-payment of Fees...!!!
Wow...that is Harsh...

:o :o

Tat is harsh....and un-acceptable.

The parents shud take up the matter with the skool authoritites/owners or even high-ups. The kids shud not be punished for late payment of fees...wateva the reason.

Like Mathai explained....there might be habitual de-faulters....but at the same time....there are ppl (parents) who hav other priorities n some may not get their salaries in time.

But punishing the kids....is not the way to go abt it...period. :pistol

While on the subject.....

My dau said tat the UIS princi, addressed the kids during their last assembly...a few days back....and reminded the kids, (who havent paid the fees) to pay up soon or their 'Assessment' papers wud be with-held....and on hearing this.....the dull sulken bored faces...suddenly turned into a sea of glittering white waves (of teeth) from happy faces n silent....'Oh yeeaahhh'(s)......reveberating, all along the rows of kids. :la :la

For me, I prioritize tuition fees over everything else (including rent). No compromises on education.

Aah... the topic is kids and school fees...
Hmmm... something that I never had to experience in my days of schooling and something I will never experience in the future :)

I guess me (and my parents) were super lucky... education in one of the best & most exclusive schools in Bombay (or even India)... full fee refund being a girl (We haven't paid for anything except my books & uniforms) and highly subsidized fees for my brother.
