Hi good morning everyone,

Yes...a fine morning, to kick-start this beautiful day, tat we get to enjoy....until u hit the road...and meet some freaking a$$holes. There will be someone to piss you off. Yes...u guessed it right. Had a heated sign n body language 'duel', with a nurse-van driver.

I was reversing my Maggie, out of the parking at home....(and I always make sure to let other cars/vans to pass...before reversing...so as to avoid disturbing their smooth flow). The road was clear n I reversed n before I cud straigthen the Maggie...a bloody nurse van drives up to me, fast n stops right in front of me....blocking my way. I mean, the driver saw me reversing and any fool cud understand tat I wud need space to straighten...and wud hav either slowed down or stopped...so as to let me pass. But this freaking SOB...blocks my path n waits...taking his own sweet time, for the lady to get down....and not only tat, they (the driver n the lady) were having a bloody early morning chit chat, too.

I honked hard n he showed me something, to which I too showed something (in sign language). Of course with a van full of ladies...it wud surely hurt his ego, if he dint reply in kind n when he did...I reversed my Maggie n blocked his path....as if, to tell him....'habibi...I aint in no hurry to go anywhere. U betta cool down n chill, before I decide to leave my car, as is...n go back home'. He too waited, for a few seconds n when he saw tat I aint planning to move...he was abt to reverse his huge van n on seeing the sleepy tired remaining nurses in the van, I decided to let go n defuse the situation. I moved my car for him to pass.

Yes...I know I'm BAD.

Wat a coincidence.....???

Yesterday after getting my Maggie filled....I had the very same thot.

The guy who filled my car was an 'asian'...dunno if he was an Indian or Srilankan etc...but he was young, pleasing and asked me in a professional manner (in english)....which gas I needed to fill?

As he was filling up....I was watching him from the mirror n noticed tat he was happy...jovial....n joking with his colleagues. He did not seem to be burdened with work or un-paid....or was even paid a 'very' low wage.

I had some coins, in my coin holder n wanted to give him some tip....but was in two minds. Firstly...dint know, how he wud react or accept my 'coinage' tip...n secondly, was wondering, if the tip I give him, wud be too less...!!!!

Anyways...before I cud decide on anything...he closed the fuel tank cap n said....'Ok sir'...n I had to move on...as there was another car, waiting behind me.

First of....shud I hav tipped him?
Plus how many of you hav tipped these guys?

Read wat this local blogger had to say.

I like the Alba Watches. Their designs are cool and I have a couple of them.
Usually, these watches always have some kind of sale going on. Something like "Buy 1 at 50% price and get the second one free."

So even if you had gone to the showroom, you would have paid something like 50-60 KD, and got another watch of similar value for free. So each one would have cost you around 25 KD anyway.
So the promotion is not THAT amazing as it first looks.

I am thinking of buying this particular one.

When the person fills up the gas, I generally tip in the range of ruba dinar - depending on how many coins are there in my coin slot.

New Modus Operandi.

From the AT.

New mode of theft: An unidentified Asian man in a complaint to the police said a man approached him under the pretext of asking something, sprayed something in his face which made him lose sight for a few seconds and stole his wallet containing KD 100, reports Al-Anba daily.
The complainant said the incident happened in Mangaf while he was walking in an open area.
He also said the man was wearing dishdasha.

Hmmm....now we will hav to be extra careful....when someone....comes near u.

Good Morning!

Jony Gere, you are BAAADDDD!!!

I would do the same that you did. I live by Mark Twain's quote: "Never be haughty to the humble, never be humble to the haughty."

Not that you did not know! ;-)

Actually...its seldom tat I tip guys at the gas station...n if I did...they were the ones tat came up n filled the tank...without being asked....before the onset of the private stations. And plus it wud be within 100 or 150 fils range.

Secondly.....I aint as rich, as you are BOSS...!!! :cry
