And I thought I was the only crazy one around. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 19228.htmlReading through the article: Quote>> Gary Hutto, a 48-year-old financial planner in Tustin, Calif., has grander dreams for his alternative investment. He has put about 20% of his IRA assets into Koa trees in Hawaii. Koa is an exotic hardwood prized for use in furniture and musical instruments such as guitars. Mr. Hutto says he learned about the investment from one of his clients. With no payout for eight years, it requires extreme patience, but he is hoping for a return of more than $250,000 on each $7,500 investment for a lot of 100 trees over the deals' 25-year life cycle—an average annual return of about 15%. "Koa wood only grows in Hawaii, and at certain elevation," he says. <<Unquote Talk about exotic investments!

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur today. Have sufficiently teased the bride and kids (Manure supporters) to become the laughing stock if my beloved Tottenham lose. Which, in the form and morale that they are in, are sure to.

Headine about the Kuwait Stock Exchange: KSE soars past 6,000 mark amid volume surge http://www.menafn.com/qn_news_story_s.a ... 1093483495Yeah, sure. The sheeple will believe anything. What is that about a picture saying more than a 1,000 words?

Good morning everyone....
Bonjour mon sexy mon amie.....monsieur Steele. You were missed for the last few days. Wat happened? Thot tat u went onto 'hibernation' mode....again. Well...there wasnt much u missed anyways....coz, no one was around....except this jobless guy. So....how did ur weekend go? Were u ignoring the bride...or waiting for a rain-dance..or tutoring ur child...or cuddling the finance....???
Was on the road to work....pretty early today....as the kids dint go to skool. Hit the Ghazali at around 7:45 but reached office.....after 9. The freaking traffic was backed up till the 6th ring road. Saw it only after turning onto the Ghazali n passing the exit to the 6th...otherwise, I wud hav jumped onto the 6th n wud hav taken another route.
In GOC there is a saying...when things dont go ur way....'kanni kandathu'....yani, the first person u meet in the morn...(usually outside ur home). Well, today saw a tenant whose car had some starting trouble n asked me if I cud drop him 'anywhere' so tat he cud reach Hawalli, hailing a taxi. Me, being the all too good samaritan...obliged. To kill time, we had some small talk. Asked him, wat happened to his car? Old battery? Or some other issues? To which, he replied tat it was none of the above n he had drove all the way to city n back only yesterday evening. Chalo...I left it at tat. There cud be a zillion things wrong, if a car dint start in the morn. He went on to say tat the battery was sorta new (1 yr old) etc etc....like as if he was defending it. Then we came across the bloody traffic.
On seeing the traffic....he tried to call his office to inform them tat he wud be late....and guess wat? His phone went dead. Low battery...(again)....!!!! I offered mine...but he politely refused. Yes...as I assumed he dint know the number....thanx to the memory capacity of the latest mobiles....he doesnt remember his office number. (Hope he remembers his wife's n kids names?).
Anyways....brought him all the way to city n dropped him off at Fahd Salem Str....to hail a taxi...to Hawalli.
Lesson learnt: To make sure I leave home (for work)...after I'm sure tat he had already left.
A big wave to all.
