And did you hav an appointment or was it an emergency? Naah... No emergency...Government clinic man... The other hosps atleast have seats for people to wait... Wat we did was....go to the private hospitals...Al Salam and Al Hadi, (for the eldest n youngest respectively)...for routine monthly check-ups n when it was time for delivery, headed to the Govt. Hospital. Its a lot more systematic, comfy n less time consuming, than the Govt Hosp. This advice is from a very worldly wise man. My ex-boss, a Kuwaiti, was (rightly, I may add) a vehement opponent of private hospitals. "Gubment" hospitals have the best equipment. If only they had the competent people needed to operate this equipment. Private hospitals/clinics exist to make a profit. So everything is basic economics (there we go again about economics ). Anything not profitable is not worth doing in a private hospital. And anything profitable is worth charging the most to squeeze out the last ounce of profit from it.

Well if u ask me....I wud love to be somewhere up there, relaxed, no tension, sitting in front of a big screen, watching the 'real' life of my family, esp the kids...and see how they are faring (sans me), in their lives....with lots of pretty angels, around me, at my disposal. If only.... (my wife wudn't wake me up from my dream...saying tat its time to go to office. ).

Henceforth, you are Steele saheb! Wo kya hain ki, I don't know much about you... So, I used just 'Steele'. Gusthaaqi maaf! Just saw this. The thread is locked. So please excuse me for replying here. Surya, thank you. I am humbled. I would show more humility but I am stopped in my tracks by the quote of Golda Meir: "Don't be so humble, you're not that great".

But of course.... With a wife who has seen n experienced, the best of Govt hospitals n has more than 15 years of experience working with them...wud surely recommend them....to anyone n everyone...irrespective of, if they hav the funds n finances, to fish out...for the services offered by the private. I was jus highligting the services n comfort level offered by the private hosp. Tats why we headed to the nearest 'Gubment' hosp....for the actual deliveries. Oh...while on the subject....(I came to know this, from my wife, only yesterday).... Wat do you call a baby, who was born, (out of wedlock) at home?

Well in a way....it wud be after death...so technically, I shud be dead...(as it can not be avoided, with all the technology advances we hav made till now)....but still alive....(again technically tat wud be immortal)....and watch the happenings n proceedings, from a 'safe' distance...with a good vantage point.
